What a great adventure that must've been! Thanks for sharing those awesome pics!
What great textures those trellises and other contraptions would make. ;)

Cheers

Well, Zombie, it is a defunct mine, and we didn't really know where to look for all the most awesome stuff. I still found it pretty fascinating though. My roommate and I plan to visit many mines and hot springs this summer, as Idaho is full of both :)

Thank you, Ramona! It was a lot of fun. I loved all of the colors and textures; especially the light that was coming through the beams in the broken roof of the cabin.

BTW, Zombie, the mines could be a good place to hide during a Zombie apocalypse, as long as we made sure they were stocked with supplies in anticipation...

cool pics!! I love the one of you in the car, and the one of your shadow. Too cool, and I'm giggling at the pic of the nuts and bolts attached haphazardly on the wood, too funny!

I left a comment on these pics the other day, but I think that's when blogger decided to black out for a couple days... boo hoo.. but I'm glad it's back up. I love these pics... the one of you in the truck is fun, and I'm giggling at the crazy nuts and bolts ... I like the shadow picture too.Have you ever gone ghost hunting at these sites? or any other places? I love ghost hunting shows... never done it in real life.. and prolly never will. Too scared but its fun to watch on tv.

Susie, funny you should mention ghosts! My roommate is also very much into the ghost hunting shows, and we both downloaded applications to our smartphones that supposedly "detect" ghosts, lol. We haven't used them at the mine sites yet, but that's a good idea! I think that's why places like this are so interesting to me - they sortof hold the ghosts of the past. You can just imagine the lives of the miners out at this place, or the sheep herders that probably squatted in the buildings after that. There are often ghost towns and sometimes even graveyards associated with the old mining sites, so we are likely to see something interesting! We will be sure to hunt for ghosts on our next adventure :)
