Henry and I went to Boise for a romantic Valentine’s weekend. It was also his birthday on Friday. We stayed here: http://www.themodernhotel.com/ which was a pretty cool place. It’s an old run-down Travelodge that’s been completely refurbished in a cool artsy way. It has a bar that has some really nice cocktails (the Cuban is to die for), and large rainshowers or Japanese soaking tubs in the rooms. The rooms with the Japanese tubs were all booked, but the shower was really nice. I spent much of my time in there! We saw a fun band called The Naughties, and Henry got a tattoo at Nobody’s Hero Tattoo. For Valentine’s dinner, we went to the first restaurant we ever went to together: http://www.happyfishsushi.com/.

I wanted to get a tattoo as well, but hadn’t quite figured out what I wanted, so I decided to wait. I’m contemplating a cartoon version of me and my dog, Rocky, but I want to be absolutely certain I want it before I get it done. I’ve also been trying to find a symbol for courage/strength/confidence, or one for hope, but haven’t found one that I really like.
